Delete your Gaylan Media account

Delete from inside the app

The fastest route, and it takes effect immediately.

• 1: Open Gaylan Media and sign in to your account.
• 2: Tap Account in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
• 3: Tap Delete account.
• 4: Type DELETE in the confirmation box, then confirm. Your account is erased straight away and you are signed out on every device.

• ١: افتح تطبيق Gaylan Media وسجّل الدخول إلى حسابك.
• ٢: اضغط على الحساب في الشريط السفلي.
• ٣: اضغط على حذف الحساب.
• ٤: اكتب DELETE في مربع التأكيد ثم أكّد. سيتم حذف حسابك فورًا وسيتم تسجيل خروجك من جميع الأجهزة.

If you have already uninstalled the app

Email privacy@gaylanmedia.com from the address registered on the account, with the subject line “Delete my account”.

We verify that the request comes from the account holder before acting on it, then delete the account and confirm by reply. Requests are completed within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently erases the following, with no way to restore it:

• Everything that identifies you: Your name, email address, phone number, username, biography and profile photo are wiped, and your password is replaced with a random value nobody holds.
• Every sign-in session: Access tokens are revoked on every device you have used, not only the one you delete from.
• Notifications: Your notification history and the push tokens registered for your devices are purged, so no further alerts can reach you.
• Your activity: Saved items, watch history, follows and likes are all deleted.

What is kept, and why

• Comments you posted: These stay on the article or video, shown as written by “Deleted user”. They are part of conversations other readers are still following, and removing one side of a discussion would make the rest unreadable. Nothing identifying you remains attached to them.
• Payment and audit records: Where you have paid for a membership, the transaction record is retained for the period required by tax, accounting and legal obligations. It is kept as a financial record, not as a profile of you.
